The Post-Wellesley Land of Online Communication

Well for those of you who aren't in the Boston area and don't see me, I figured I would quickly relate the recent happenings in my life since I have been accused of being MIA. I still don't have a job (bc me and Melody are too cool). I am waiting to hear from the lady from harvard about scheduling second round interviews for 2 positions there (there is a new hr lady who took over the app process for the positions and she blows and has yet to get back to me with a concrete date). I will be interviewing next week for some random jobs that I don't particularly want. I had my interview with Bentley today and my hr guy was hot. I have been doing pretty much nothing for the most part or watching the kids or working on the irish sweater I am knitting. So the usual on that front. My romantic life just took a very unexplained turn for the worse. After 2 visits to me and about a month and 1/2 of daily communication, I haven't heard back from Tim since I went to visit him 2 weeks ago. I tried calling once, but lets face it I'm not gonna chase after him. So Tim lost interest, but not before he managed to ask me the best question ever. When he was trying to think of something we could do while I was visiting, he asked me if I wanted to play wiffleball. It was special, how do you respond to that? And me in my extreme bitchiness def posted Brittany's response to that story in the quote section in my facebook. Because lets face it, even though I can laugh it off I am pretty disappointed this one didnt work out, I never would have guessed he was that kind of a guy. In other news I hung out with Sarah in Boston yesterday and we found where I should go looking for my husband to be. There are lots of pretty boys in the financial district who must be looking for trophy wives. We just have to figure out where they go after work. In other news I'm pretty upset bc I cant get the minisode clips of Bug Juice (my favorite show ever) to play on disneychannel online. I'm also pretty upset about my upcoming bday. I dont want to turn 22, I enjoy being the fresh meat at the bar. I think I'm gonna pretend I'm 21 for the next few years.

If anyone has any interests they want me to add to the info page, let me know or post in the comments! I just listed those when I set up the community, but I can easily add any additional ones that people want to include.

Also, I am preparing a totally rocking post for you all. I know you anticipate with bated breath.

Here's an interesting article about sox fans in the south.
There's even a mini replica of Fenway in Greenville (Lindsey - it's the right city name, wrong state. It's in South Carolina).

So to add to my reply to Brittany earlier:
I went shopping and got some great deals - bags for work, sneakers, underwear, and couple of tops.
I love sales and I was inspired to go for it after talking to Sarah. I have new needs that must be fulfilled.
Also developed some graduation pictures! Good memories, but it makes me sad to think it's over :-(

AND...
I got an ipod! (apologies to Gabi...I will miss my cds, but I just broke my cd player while moving out of Shafer and really didn't want to buy another since I figured I'd eventually jump on the ipod wagon).
Actually, I bought a silver ipod mini off of Tim for $20. He had to order a computer for college and got a free nano with it and he had been using my graphing calculator all year. Sweet payback! It's in great shape though (the battery may need to be replaced at some point, but it seems fine right now!). Actually it's better than a new one for me because it's about a year old and still works on my computer system. I was going to have to spend a bundle to upgrade my computer for any of the new ipods to work on it (I may do this at some point, but I'm glad to put it off as long as possible).

So, what's everyone up to on the 4th of July/weekend before (since it's on a Tuesday)? I know some of us can definitely not make it back, but it's one of the few (and I mean very very few) days I will get off this year. It would be fun to go see the fireworks and you could stay over at my apartment. Or just party the weekend before. Party!
Or any other ideas of meeting up this summer?

And dear Melody, hopefully I will be able to plan a trip to Louisville sometime. I can't decide it would be better to go sometime in the summer/fall or wait until Derby time. My parents think you're awesome (and all of my other Wellesley friends, fear not...it's just Melody was around a lot on graduation day) and they basically said - you ARE going to visit her, which works out well since they have miles to possibly pay for such a trip (and I've still been able to the guilt trip them about the cruise. hehe).

Okay, so I'll post more later (I promise!) once I've gotten some rest etc., but I miss you all!
Also, could someone who got some form of the letter I sent out about livejournal fix it up and send it out in the better format...the original email should have all of the addresses to send it to. My computer situation is a bit odd at the moment and I don't have MSWord on the computer that I can use gmail on....and the 2 computer at one time bit was too complicated for me.

P.S. Apologies to those who I delayed severely today or if I was in any sort of bad mood. I can explain soon.

Okay, who knew I had so much stuff? Specifically so many clothes? I spent much of today unpacking, and I am rapidly running out of room for all my crap. My bed is still covered in clothes, actually, and I still have one big box that's completely full. Oh, and then there are the five boxes of books that haven't even been unpacked. I don't know how my mom and I harbored this fantasy that we'd be able to turn our walk-in closet into a den when we're more desperately in need of storage space than ever!

Oh, and thanks to darling Sarah, I discovered that I had a little gift. I was unpacking one of my suitcases, and I THOUGHT it was empty. Little did I know that there was something lurking... I picked it up and something slid. "That's curious," I thought.

I opened up the suitcase again. Empty! "Whatever could this mean?" I pondered.

Then I realized that I hadn't checked that smaller section on the outside of the suitcase. I opened THAT up, and what did I find but Sarah's gift: the beef stick and the romance novel found on the Caz bells desk. Delightful.

I'm not sure what to do with them, really.

That Sarah...her generosity just has no limits.
